Design Process

Design

The design process begins with an initial meeting to explore the client's design objectives. At this time, we discuss overall square footage, specific rooms, design styles, views and any site constraints, and construction budget. If a contractor is involved, he/she may also attend  this meeting. With the conclusion of this meeting, we begin a process of design sketches with owner review that will culminate in the final design.

Site Constraints, Codes and Review Committees

After the initial meeting, we visit the site to better understand the parameters which will affect the design including drainage, view opportunities, code issues and design guidelines if required by the subdivision.

If a Design Review Committee exists for your site, they will have a written set of guidelines and possibly will require their approval and acceptance of the preliminary and final design. Working through this process is part of our design services.
